Team season schedule template

Most youth sports schedules live in a spreadsheet, and every change means another round of emails asking parents to ignore the old version. This template turns that same spreadsheet into a calendar feed the whole roster subscribes to once.

When a game time or field changes, you edit the sheet. The event updates on every subscribed phone without duplicating, and you don't have to re-send anything.

Opens a live preview of the sample events below — no account needed. Swap in your own rows when you're ready.

The columns

One row per event, headers in the first row. That's the whole format.

  • Keep the header row. That's how the columns are recognized, and if you rename a header later the change is detected instead of quietly breaking your feed.
  • Use one row per game. A blank Time makes an all-day entry, which works well for bye weeks and tournament days.
  • Put the field number in Location rather than the title, since subscribers' phones turn locations into map links.
  • If a Date cell says TBD, that row is held for you in feed health rather than guessed. Fill in the date once the bracket is out and the event appears.

Questions

Parents use iPhone, Android, and Outlook. Does one link work for everyone?
Yes. The subscribe page has one-tap buttons for Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, and Outlook, plus a raw feed URL for anything else. Nobody has to create an account.
What happens when a game gets rescheduled?
Edit the row in your sheet. The event updates in place on every subscribed calendar, with no duplicate. Apple and Outlook usually show the change within about 15 minutes of the feed refreshing. Google Calendar refetches on its own schedule and can take up to 24 hours.
Can I run multiple teams from one account?
The free plan covers one feed with up to 50 events, which is a full season for one team. The Pro plan ($12/mo or $99/yr) covers 10 feeds, so you can run one per team.
